AHK-Cu (Alanine-Histidine-Lysine Copper, also known as Copper Tripeptide-3) is a synthetic tripeptide that binds copper, formed from the amino acids alanine, histidine, and lysine. Laboratory research has focused mainly on its effects on human hair follicles and dermal papilla cells. In vitro studies indicate it may encourage follicle elongation by boosting dermal papilla cell proliferation while limiting cell death. No human clinical trials have confirmed its efficacy or safety.

SUGGESTED ORDER AMOUNT

At a standard dose of 2mg per day, one 100mg vial lasts approximately 50 days. A common approach is 2 vials per person for a approximately 100 days of supply, with 3-5 vials covering a full 6-month transformation cycle.

MIXING & Usage Guidelines

01

Draw 3.0 mL of Bacteriostatic Water USP from the vial.

02

Carefully inject the Bacteriostatic Water into the AHK-Cu vial, aiming the stream along the side of the vial and avoiding direct contact with the lyophilized powder.

03

Gently swirl the vial until the powder is fully dissolved and the solution becomes clear. Do not shake the vial vigorously.

04

Once mixed, the concentration will be 33.33/ml. Under this dilution, every 10 units on a standard insulin syringe provides exactly 3.33mg of AHK-cu.

05

The prepared solution can be administered subcutaneously (SubQ) in the lower abdominal fat area.

06

Once reconstituted with Bacteriostatic Water, store the vial in the refrigerator and use the mixed solution within 60 days to ensure potency and effectiveness.

WHEN TO TAKE it

AHK-Cu is generally used with a once-daily administration schedule. Some protocols favor evening use, based on the idea that it aligns with the body’s natural overnight collagen production and tissue-renewal cycles. That said, exact timing is flexible and can be adjusted to fit individual routines.

RECOMMENDED SCHEDULE

  • Low Dose (1mg – 3 units): Ideal for long-term anti-aging maintenance and baseline skin health
  • Standard Dose (2mg — 16 units): The sweet spot for collagen support, hair growth stimulation, and daily vitality
  • High Dose (4mg — 12 units): For focused tissue repair and intensive cellular rejuvenation
  • Loading Phase (Months 1–2): During this time, the peptide is resetting gene expression and increasing blood flow. You may see improved scalp health, but visible hair growth is minimal.
  • Transformation Phase (Months 3–6): This is where the results become “undeniable.” By month 6, the enlarged follicles have had time to produce noticeably thicker hair shafts
  • After a 6-month cycle, take a 4–6 week break to allow the body to rebalance mineral levels before beginning a maintenance cycle.

Dermal Papilla Cell Research

AHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide studied for its interaction with dermal papilla cells, the specialized fibroblasts that regulate hair follicle growth. Laboratory research found that AHK-Cu stimulated the proliferation of dermal papilla cells in vitro at very low concentrations. This has made it a compound of interest in trichology research focused on follicle-level cellular activity.

Hair Follicle Elongation Studies

In the same ex vivo research, AHK-Cu stimulated the elongation of human hair follicles kept alive in laboratory culture. AHK-Cu is also described in the literature as potentially prolonging the hair growth (anagen) phase while minimizing follicle damage, distinguishing it from broader-acting copper peptides in ongoing hair-biology research.

Our Vision

10+ Years of Peptide Expertise

At Pacific Peptides our mission is to offer you access to the highest quality peptides, helping you achieve the physique and fitness goals you’ve always dreamed of. Each of our peptides is designed to enhance overall well-being, boost performance, and promote vitality. With over ten years of experience in peptide formulation, Pacific Peptides offers a wide range of products to help you reach your full potential.

Cell Survival and Apoptosis Research

Foundational research on AHK-Cu found that treated dermal papilla cells showed a higher Bcl-2/Bax survival ratio along with reductions in death-related markers caspase-3 and PARP, indicating the peptide may influence cell survival signaling. The reduction in apoptotic cells observed was not statistically significant, so this remains an area of ongoing investigation rather than an established effect.

Versus Other Copper Peptides

Unlike GHK-Cu, which is studied mainly for wound healing and general tissue repair, AHK-Cu shows more selective activity in hair follicle biology, specifically targeting dermal papilla cells and the follicle growth phase. Research so far is limited to laboratory and ex vivo models — the evidence supports continued study but highlights the need for additional human clinical trials

Safe Disposale of Needle Tips and Syringes

Ensuring the proper disposal of utilized syringes and needles is crucial for the safety of yourself and those around you. Once used, promptly deposit the syringe and needle into a designated sharps container. Avoid recapping the needle to prevent unintentional needle pricks. Familiarize yourself with the regulations in your local area concerning the appropriate disposal of medical waste. Numerous regions have specific guidelines for discarding sharps containers, and adhering to them is vital to safeguard both your community and the environment.

Side Effects + Considerations

AHK-Cu is generally well-tolerated in the research contexts it has been studied in. Reported effects are mainly limited to mild injection-site reactions, such as irritation, redness, or itching. Because it is a copper-binding peptide, overuse may disrupt normal copper homeostasis, so individuals with copper metabolism disorders (e.g., Wilson’s disease) should avoid use.
