5-Amino-1MQ inhibits NNMT, an enzyme that regulates the conversion of nicotinamide and influences NAD⁺ availability and cellular methylation processes. NNMT activity has been observed to be elevated in adipose tissue and certain metabolic states. By limiting this activity, 5-Amino-1MQ alters downstream metabolic signalling pathways at the cellular level. Its effects are metabolic rather than hormonal and are independent of circadian growth hormone rhythms.

MIXING & Usage Guidelines

01

Draw 1.0 mL of Bacteriostatic Water USP from the vial.

02

Carefully inject the Bacteriostatic Water into the 5-Amino-1MQ vial, aiming the stream along the side of the vial and avoiding direct contact with the lyophilized powder.

03

Gently swirl the vial until the powder is fully dissolved and the solution becomes clear. Do not shake the vial vigorously.

04

Once mixed, the concentration will be 10mg per mL (10mg per 1mL vial), equating to 1mg per 10 units on a standard insulin syringe. Remember, 100 units on the syringe equals 1mL, corresponding to the full 10mg dose.

05

The prepared solution can be administered subcutaneously (SubQ) in the lower abdominal fat area.

06

Once reconstituted with Bacteriostatic Water, store the vial in the refrigerator. Use within 60 days to ensure potency and effectiveness.

WHEN TO TAKE it

5-Amino-1MQ is best administered in the morning, aligning with the body’s active metabolic window. By inhibiting the NNMT enzyme to boost metabolism and cellular NAD+ levels, morning dosing maximizes its impact during the day’s highest energy demands and prevents any potential interference with sleep.

Like most metabolic regulators, 5-Amino-1MQ is most effective when blood levels remain stable — making a consistent morning routine the ideal approach to maximize long-term results.

RECOMMENDED SCHEDULE

  • Low Dose (2mg — 20 units): Ideal for baseline metabolic support and assessing individual tolerance
  • Standard Dose (4mg — 40 units): The most common dose for meaningful NNMT inhibition and metabolic enhancement
  • Advanced Dose (6mg — 60 units): For intensive metabolic support and body recomposition protocols
  • Frequency: Once daily in the morning

Metabolic Research Support

5-Amino-1MQ is studied for its role in metabolic research through the inhibition of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase, an enzyme involved in cellular energy regulation. By targeting NNMT activity, this compound is examined for its potential impact on how cells manage energy balance and nutrient utilisation. Its mechanism is non-hormonal and operates at the intracellular level, distinguishing it from peptide-based compounds.

Cellular Energy Regulation

Research into 5-Amino-1MQ focuses on its influence over metabolic signalling pathways related to NAD⁺ availability and methyl donor balance. NNMT activity has been associated with adipose tissue metabolism, making this compound of interest in laboratory models exploring energy expenditure and metabolic efficiency. These effects are enzyme-based rather than receptor-driven.

Non-Hormonal Mechanism of Action

Unlike peptides or growth hormone related compounds, 5-Amino-1MQ does not stimulate the pituitary gland or interact with endocrine pathways. Its activity is independent of circadian hormone cycles and sleep-related signalling. This non-hormonal profile makes it a distinct category of compound within metabolic and biochemical research contexts.

Distinct from Peptide Compounds

5-Amino-1MQ differs fundamentally from peptide-based research compounds. It is a small-molecule inhibitor rather than an amino acid chain and does not require peptide-style handling or reconstitution. Its activity does not depend on receptor activation or hormonal cascades, placing it in a separate category from growth hormone secretagogues and related compounds.

Safe Disposale of Needle Tips and Syringes

Ensuring the proper disposal of utilized syringes and needles is crucial for the safety of yourself and those around you. Once used, promptly deposit the syringe and needle into a designated sharps container. Avoid recapping the needle to prevent unintentional needle pricks. Familiarize yourself with the regulations in your local area concerning the appropriate disposal of medical waste. Numerous regions have specific guidelines for discarding sharps containers, and adhering to them is vital to safeguard both your community and the environment.

Side Effects + Considerations

5-Amino-1MQ is a compound known for its role as an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme involved in metabolic regulation and energy balance. While early preclinical findings suggest potential benefits related to fat metabolism and metabolic health, the safety profile of 5-Amino-1MQ in humans has not been well established. Use of this compound may be associated with side effects such as headaches, nausea, gastrointestinal discomfort, fatigue, or changes in energy levels. Some individuals may experience dizziness, sleep disturbances, or mood changes. Because NNMT plays a role in methylation and liver metabolism, there is also a potential risk of liver strain or metabolic imbalance, particularly with prolonged or improper use.
